The Vision Keeper




Hi, I'm Brianna. I also go by Hetra. I'm actually 132 years old, but in the real world I'm 14. Well, my life has had a pretty horrific past. I've been through many wars and saw many deaths; but now it's all over and I can live my life normally

.....or so I thought...

For years I've been experiencing visons of the past. Visions that I've never seen before...but a few years ago I found out that they weren't of the past, but of the future. They were visions of what will become of life.
The life that we all know and love today will soon be gone....

FOREVER!

For you see, life will soon be filled with hate, anger, death, fear, weakness, and surprisingly hope. Hope that life will be back to before, hate and anger for the people who caused our lives to become this way, fear and weakness for what'll come next, and the death of everyone one that you loved.

This is my story. The story of our fate, the story of what will happen if you live long enough...If you're lucky you'll die before your future comes to haunt you.



CHAPTER 1

This is where my story begins. I was walking home from school, 14 years old, 9th grade, reading a book, when suddenly I started seeing something in my head. It was a moving picture. I wasn't interested at first, but then I started to get extremely interested. My eyes lit up wide as I saw a great war. Soon I passed out and forgot what I was doing. i woke to see a boy. He was just about my age, shaggy black hair, and dark brown eyes. He asked me my name so I told him, and passed out again.
Again I woke, but the boy was gone and I was in my bed. "Had I dreamed that", I thought to myself. I went downstairs and saw my mom in the kitchen cooking dinner and I looked to my left, I saw someone in the living room. It was the boy, and right then and there I knew that it wasn't a dream, "but how?", I asked to myself...........or well I thought I said it to myself. "How what?", my mom asked. I started to blush, "oh nothing, but who is that boy on the couch?" *sigh* "You're telling me that you don't remember?", asked my mom. "Remember what?", I replied "Well this boy helped you home. You were so tired that you passed out on your way home, and that boy helped you get back." on, and on she went. I was so uninterested and confused. I kept thinking of my vision and the battle I had seen earlier that day.
"Hetra are you all right?", called a distant voice. It was my friend Haku. I just remembered, she was studying in the library for a test. Just at that moment I thought of my vision and of the girl covered in blood. I recognized her from somewhere, so I turned around and looked at Haku. It was her, the girl from the vision. Haku was the one. She was going to cause our lives to change.
I started to cry. She came over and sat beside me. I was going to tell her, but not then and there. I had to wait till the right moment. I was afraid that if I didn't tell her soon then it would be too late.
"What's wrong?", asked Haku. "Huh, oh nothing, you'll find out soon enough", I replied.....I hope.
She helped me up and we went to our next class. Suddenly, the intercom and I got called to the office. "What could this be?", I wandered, "was I in trouble?" I was hoping that it wasn't about what had happened earlier.
I stood outside the door of the office and slowly reached for the handle. "Come in", said a voice from inside. "That's weird", I thought to myself, So, I went inside and saw the principal and the boy that helped me home yesterday. "Come in and have a seat", said the principal. "ok", I said. So, I sat down and the principal kept talking and talking. Man!, I wanted to punch him. Soon, after a long five minutes the principal stopped talking, and he dais that me and the boy were excused from school because of yesterday. I had no idea that the boy went to my school. It was so weird.
Anyways, the boy and I were walking home, even though we both knew that our parents wouldn't be there. I didn't say anything to him, and he didn't say anything either.
It was so quiet. He came closer to me and held my hand. "Are you all right?", he asked. I looked at him and said, "yes." We weren't even half-way home and already we were tired. I was wandering to myself, "Why or how did he know where I lived?, and what was his name?" I sat down on a bench in the park and he sat beside me. He was looking down at our hands, and I was looking at his eyes.
He looked nervous about something, it almost looked as if he was going to cry. He was about to say something, but then he stopped. He got up and walked over to a nearby tree. It was filled with cherry blossoms and the petals were falling all around him. I stayed seated on the bench and he started to carve something in the tree, then he took off running. I was about to run after him, but something told me to stay seated.
After a few minutes I walked over to the tree. On it there were three words inside of a heart......................

CHAPTER 3

As I was saying, there inside the heart were the words, I love you. I couldn't believe my eyes. Bam! I heard something crash. I looked to my side and saw a giant tree branch laying on the ground.....There was a note attached ...................................
It Read:
If you want to see your boyfriend again, then tell me all your visions
-No One P.S. Meet me at the corner of the back entrance of the graveyard at exactly seven o' clock tonight!
I was scared of going to the graveyard. Had someone been spying on me?, well I know one thing's for sure, I wasn't going to tell this person anything.
I looked at the note again and saw something that wasn't there before. It was a drop of blood and right beside it were the words help me. My eyes started to water and my stomach tightened. What if he's really in big danger?, what if he dies?
I ran home as fast as I could, and saw my mom already back from work. Her car was dented up, and the front door was wide open. I rushed inside. My mom was hanging by her neck, right in the middle of the living room. Another note was attached.
It Said:
I see you've found your mom. Well this is what will happen to your boyfriend if you don't come.
Oh and before I forget, your boyfriend said that his name is Zander but he wants you to call him Jake.
-No One
I was freaking out. My sisters would be hame soon, and I knew that they'd scream and disturb the whole neighborhood. I ran outside and looked around. No one was there, so I ran back inside and locked the door behind me. I started crying. Why were these things happening to me? Why not someone else? Why not someone older?
I was only thirteen years old then, and I didn't really know what was happening.
Anyways, back to the story. As I was sitting and crying something was moving inside my house. It was a strange cat-like figure. "You are the vision keeper, you are the vision keeper", it said over and over again. "Stop!", I yelled, "what do you mean I'm the vision keeper?" It didn't answer. Then all of a sudden, it leaped up and shouted, "HI, I'm Deltora, I', the watcher of the vision keeper." I looked at her, surprised at this and scared of what will happen next. "Your family and friends are in grave danger.", she said, "and you must tell no one about your visions."

CHAPTER 4

I sat and thought about this. After about ten miinutes I realized that I had to leave, I had to start a new life. Suddenly, I heard someone coming down the sidewalk. It was my sister Miku walking home from school with Kanzu. I ran out the back door. Soon I got tired and sat down. "You must save us, you must save the world.", Deltora said. "But how?", I asked. It soon got really quiet. "I know someone who can help.", Deltora finally said. She got up and started running. Without thinking I got up and ran after her.
We soon ended at an old abandoned neighborhood. There was no one there except a small boy named Micheal. He was only eight years old. "How can he help me?", I asked Deltora. Without speaking, Micheal went into an old workshop where he pulled out a huge box. In it were two knives, three guns, and a sword. "These are the weapons you'll need to battle with.", said Micheal, "But you'll need some friends to help you." "But where was I going to find some friends to help me?", I asked.
Micheal ointed behind me and I turned around, only to find my two best friends Trinity and Twilight. I ran u to them, "How did you get here?" Trinity was about to say something, but Twilight interrupted.
"We kinda just appeared here, well that and we heard that you needed help saving the world, and not to mention, your boyfrined." I started to blush, "He's not my boyfriend."
"Well anyways.", Deltora said, "We have to start your training. Trinity got a horrific look in her eyes..."Does she know something I don't?"

CHAPTER 5

I was worried, "Maybe something was wrong with Trinity." Then out of no where a bright light flashed and we were all standing in a white room. "This is the training field where you'll be working on your batting skills."
Suddenly, the ground bagen to shake and the floor rose into three sections. We were all separated.
Deltora walked up some stairs to a big chair. "You'll be trained on the skills you're good at." Trinity was being trained on her brain skills, Twilight on her fighting, and me on my weapon and visions. Deltora left the room and three women came in.
There was a woman who was tall, skinny, and looked like a supermodel. She was going to train Trinity. One of the other women had long blonde hair and was wearing a cheerleading outfit. She was going to train Twilight.
And last, there was a strong, really buff woman who looked like a body builder. She walked over to me. *gulp*
"So," I said, "I guess you're here to train me?"
The woman started to laugh. "Oh no, I'm not here to train you," she repied, "My daughter is."
She stepped to the side and there, where the woman had moved from was a little seven year old girl. I started to laugh, "You're really going to teach me?"
Just then Deltora entered the room.
"You better listen to her," Shouted Deltora, "She knows what she's doing."
I stopped laughing, but in my head I thought it was hilarious.
Soon everything got quiet. The trainging was about to begin.
Trinity started out with a series of math problems. I had no clue how that would help her in battle, but there was a lot of things I didn't know. I glanced over and looked at one of the math problems. I didn't know how she could answer any of those problems.
"Pay attention," shouted Deltora, "You need to concentrate."
I turned around quickly and saw Twilight lifting weights. They were each about fifty pounds.
I had to stop getting side tracked.
"What is your name?"
I shook my head. "Huh?"
My trainer had asked my my name. "oh uh, Hetra."
"My name is Serria," she said.
"Well Hetra, have you ever fallen while having one of your visions?"
Of course I know I've fallen, but I didn't want to tell her. It was none of her business.
"Of course not," I replied.

CHAPTER 6

We were already into our fifth day of training. Trinity and Twilight were almost done, but I still had a lot more to do. Serria was actually a really good teacher. She taught me how to channel my visons so that I could see them again whenever I wanted to. She also taught me how to use my weapons.
After about thirty minutes we took a break from all the training. My friends and I went and got something to eat. Deltora came along with us.
We were going to get pizza from Terry's Pizza Palace, but instead Deltora decided that we got to favorite restaurant, Sea Orriental. She really loves fish. Well, what'd you expect, she is after all part cat.
We walked into the restaurant and my eyes widened. The place was full of rich and fancy people. I looked at what we were wearing. We had on ripped jeans and really tight belly shirts. We also had extremely messy hair.
"Deltora, over here," cried a voice. It was the little boy micheal. He was eating lunch with Serria. Deltora walked over to them and we followed. Magically we fell into another world. It was like the restaurant had changed. Micheal, Serria, and Deltora were just sitting as if nothing had happened.
Trinity and Twilight were on the floor. They got up and looked around.
